My DT Sister Valentyna has a red and white theme this week at BBTB2 challenging you to use a combo of these colors on any project. I just had to jump on the "Red Truck" band wagon. I still needed to make Valentines for my family and this is what I came up with. I got the truck from the Just Because Cards cartridge. If you are down to the wire and still need a Valentine for a loved one or your children need Valentines for school tomorrow, you can whip these babies up in no time! Happy Valentines Day!!!

I find it ironic my last post on my blog was about women getting annual mammograms. You may or may not know but I took a lengthy break following the results of my own annual mammogram. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had surgery followed by chemo and I am in them midst of completing radiation. My prognosis is excellent because of early detection! Now on with the show!
I am happy to be back and creating with my design team for Bitten By The Bug 2. I start off with this week's challenge and post my valentine project: a "shadow box card". There are a lot of dimensions to this card. The skunk is too stinking cute peeking around the tree asking you to be his valentine. Now head over to BBTB2 to get inspired by my design team sisters, join the challenge this week and share your Valentine's project with us!!!

If you do not use Design Space, you can find instructions for the base of the shadow box card here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/shadow_box_card/
I decided not to focus on fancy techniques or embossing for this challenge because the message itself is what makes this a great card! I did go the extra mile and make the inside bra a magnet to be stuck on a fridge as a reminder. It is so important that women attend for regular mammograms. You can get details about mammograms at: http://www.cancer.gov/types/breast/mammograms-fact-sheet
My best friend reminds me EVERY year when the mammogram machine comes to town. Thank you Lisa for always thinking of me. I am going to surprise her this year and give her this card and remind her this time! Please join Susan and my other talented DT Sisters for this week's challenge and create a project with a bra or woman and use the colour pink!.

Happy World Card Making Day! I am joining the live activities and challenges at Scrapbook & Cards Today:
Come join in the fun and maybe win some prizes! Make sure to pass some "love" around to all the sponsors!
I came across this awesome blog site while commenting on somebody else's blog and noticed that she was part of this designing team. They have a weekly challenge and this week is a shape card. There is a prize too! The above Halloween Bag Card is my submission. The candy comes out of the bag! I used the Trick or Treat images in Design Space for the Pumpkin Bag, candy, and "Smell My Feet sentiment, and used the Celebrate with Flourish for the "Trick or Treat" sentiment. You can my find my card design at:

It's the first Monday of Fall! It's also a new challenge of the week at BBTB2! My DT Sister Michelle has come up with a word challenge for you. Create a project (any project) with the word Fall or Autumn on it. I decided to try one of the Make It Now projects in Cricut Design Space. I altered the project to my liking and started cutting away, and rolling away, and gluing away, and blistering away lol. Yes, I have a few battle scars from this project. If you decide to make paper flowers, invest in finger tips for protection. They sell them in just about any flower department and are worth the $3.99 investment!!!
All of my paper used for this project was from CTMH. I find that paper cuts the best in my machine and the colours are vibrant. I glued the flowers on to a 16" metal ring I found at a dollar store.
Now go get some fuzzy slippers on, throw on your favourite sweater and show us what you can create for this challenge!
My DT Sister Maureen always comes up with something fun and unique to challenge all of us! Well, my sister Wanda was out shopping at the mall last Friday, took this pic and posted it on Facebook. I laugh aloud every time I look at this pic. Well, Wanda became my inspiration for this week's challenge. Wonder Woman may be an imaginary character, but my sister is truly a Wonder Woman. I love her so and am thankful God made her my sister to love, protect, and share life with. Join our challenge at BBTB2 today! Let your Imagination Run Wild and show us your project with your imaginary character (humanlike, animal, or bug, etc).
My DT Sister Maureen came up with a super creative challenge for you this week. I could have made a dozen projects for this challenge with all of the ideas rolling around in my head! I love summer time and I have been doing lots of camping and getting lots of beach time in. I also love seafood - LOBSTER, CRAB, SHRIMP. Please join myself and my Design Team Sisters at the BItten By The Bug 2 blog and enter your project. All you need to do is use your Cricut and include a lobster or crab on your challenge!
On a side note; has anybody ever purchased those little tiny micro beads from the dollar store? I used my micro beads for the sand. I took clear and the gold/brown ones and put double sided craft tape on the paper and applied the beads. My crab is on a spring so he does a little "happy dance" when taken out of the envelope. I just took some light weight wire and wrapped it around a pencil to make a coil.

Hello everyone. It's Wedding Season and it is my turn to host this week's Cricut Challenge. The history of weddings celebrated during the month of June goes all the way back to early Roman times, well over two thousand years ago! My daughter recently got engaged so love is in the air everywhere around my home. We would love to see what you might do with this challenge and hope that you will join us this week.
Well after many weeks of being ill I am back. It all started while crafting at a girlfriend's house. One minute everything was fine, and the next I was sick, chilled, fevering, and throwing up (well you get the idea). Started feeling better after about 4 days - and bam! I get an awful cold! Start to feel better after about a week, go to visit my mother. Again, one minute fine, the next my neck starts hurting, throat, and I am in the bathroom sick and fevering - and oh my gosh when will this end?? That turned into a chest cold, which I am still not convinced was not actually pneumonia. After five weeks I feel like half a million dollars! LOL
Now on to this week's challenge. My very talented Design Sister Caroline has challenged us all to design a card or other project honouring our Mother or other significant person who made a big difference in your life. My mother has three daughters who will all be giving her cards for Mother's Day. I wanted mine to be unique and represent my individuality. I want my mother to look at the card and know - that is the card my daughter Kelly gave to me! Those of you who do not know me well I am going to share something about myself. I love heavy metal music and always have. I have a "Rock Star" who lives in my body haha. My sisters will probably give Mom a card with pretty flowers and ribbons on it. Not Me! I love you and You Rock Mom!
Please head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and see what the Design Team has created and join us in this challenge celebrating our Mothers!
I used the Rock Princess and Mother's Day Kid Cards in the Cricut Design Space to create this card. Here is the link to my card:
