My DT Sister Diana L. has come up with a really fun challenge this week. The challenge is to use a "Clock" on your project. When I searched "clock" in Design Space I had no idea there were that many Cricut cartridges with clock images. As soon as I found my clock image on Nursery Rhymes I already had my project designed in my head! Cinderella is from the Disney Happily Ever After cartridge. Cricut.com is having a sale on Disney cartridges!!! Thank you for stopping by my blog. Your next move should be to the Bitten By The Bug 2 blog to see the fun projects the Design Team came up with and get inspired to join our challenge! Happy crafting!
My DT Sister Caroline has come up with an exciting challenge for you this week at BBTB2. I came up with a truck shaped card. I never seem to have enough masculine cards in my collection. I used Cricut cartridge Outdoor Man for the truck shape and welded two together in Design Space. The sentiment tag is from The First Few Years cartridge. I like my cards to have dimension to them. So I embossed the bumpers and wheel covers using heavy foil adhesive paper. I also embossed the wheels with a chevron folder in my Cuttlebug. The card was cut at 7.9 x 6.92". Create this project by following the link to my project in Design Space: https://ca.cricut.com/design/#/canvas/project/24829662.
Hop on over to BBTB2 and see what the Design Team has come up with to inspire you to join this week's challenge! Happy Crafting!
I designed this adorable card using the Kokeshi and Things file from Kadoodle Bug Designs. As soon as I seen this sweet little Japanese girl, I wanted to create something "just because" with her. So why not send a card to someone "Just Because" and brighten their day!??! This card is going in the mail today to a special friend. Go check out all the amazing designs from KBD and have a happy day crafting!
KDB is at it again with a Spring Challenge this week! I used the Rainy Day Bears and Shoe House files to create this card. This challenge is a great reminder that Spring really is around the corner. Soon there will be flowers popping up everywhere and butterflies flittering about. Happy Crafting!
I am so proud to announce that I have been invited to join the Design Team at Bitten by the Bug 2. I have truly enjoyed entering the fun weekly challenges and now I get to be a part of designing those challenges. Blessings to everybody and happy crafting!!!
The Design Team at BBTB2 is at it again with a new challenge. This week is a baby challenge of any project as long as you use at least one Cricut cartridge. One of my favourite Cricut cartridges is Suburbia and that is what I cut the mother and baby from; and the sentiment is cut from Word Bubbles. I wanted to add humour to my card. The patterned paper and stamps are cut from Graphic45 Little Darlings Collection. Happy crafting!!!
This week's challenge on BBTB2 is a sympathy card challenge. While we probably have more birthday or Christmas cards in our stock, we at some time will need a sympathy card. I think its best to have a few made up to keep in your stock. It may be hard or too emotional to create a sympathy card for someone very close.
I used a few Cricut cartridges to make this project. I used My Quiet Book for the trees and pond, Noah's ABCs for the dove, Ole for the sun (and I sliced it in the Design Space), and the sentiment tag came from my favourite "go to" cartridge, CTMH Art Philosophy. I finished the card off with some cloud embossing and sponging around the edges to soften the card a bit. I really never get too crazy with much bling on sympathy cards. I prefer to focus on God's creations (ie. the trees, water, sun, dove, etcetera).
I have discovered another fabulous SVG website. Kaboodle Bug Designs. I am in heaven with all the wonderful things I can cut, print, and make with my Cricut Explore! KBD has a freebie file every week! Who does not love FREE??!!
So KBD has a bi-weekly challenge. This is the Anything Winter Challenge. I found this "Warm Winter Wishes" file on the KBD website and I immediately knew what I was going to do. I ended up baking a loaf of chocolate banana peanut butter bread for my next door neighbours and made this card to go with the goodies. The birdie spins around (I thought the little ones would love playing with the card). I could truly make cards and treats for people every day!
